powder day

Post by f.a.s.t. »

Yes, at Cannon Mountain yesterday, Monday 12-26-11, about 4" on Gary's, Rocket and Time Zone. Good coverage too, no bare spots, rocks or twigs. By no means a lot of powder, but not bad considering the start to this season. It was good to feel so much soft snow under ski.

Mods, we need to set some kind of standard in here. We have problems with expressions such as POWDER DAY or IT IS DUMPING (no, not Humpty). There are probably others that also need clarification.

Something like:

Pow Day = Boot Deep or more, or maybe 12"

Dumping = X inches of SNOW / Hour or visibility down to under 1 mile

f.a.s.t. Glad you enjoyed the soft glide in the morning.

I kind of agree with you Dr No.....my powder day subject line was written "tongue in cheek".....I was mocking the crappy start to the season. It was by no means a true powder day.
