Sprite don't stay away because as you can see from Andy's passing today, life is short and you must make every day count.

very saddened by this news. parked next to him on the access road first weekend of may. seemed fine then. sounds like it was sudden but at least he went out on his terms. thoughts & prayers go out to his wife violetta.

Thanks, AndyZ for teaching me to love summer as much as winter. You convinced me to take hiking seriously. And that changed my views about the warm season. Again, thanks. You will be missed. RIP.

I too have been long absent from this site and just found the news on Facebook - got along with Andy until he got heated over some razzing then he defriended me - life is too short for that nonsense and I never held it against him as we all here share the same passion, and it is that passion which I will remember him with ... heartfelt thoughts to his family, loved ones and especially the whole crew here who shared in the antics and special bonds ... bummer ... will definitely do some runs in his honor on Hunter this year and I know exactly where ... Peace to all

I still remember the spring day a few years back when I invited Andy to join us when we skied a reserved Outer Limits after Bear had closed. He made a video of the run, which I lost when my computer crashed. RIP Andy, I hope heaven has good pork products.
