Kathy - food court cashier
Kathy passed away last week. She had worked at killington for 35 years and was usually found running a register at either KBL or Snowshed food courts. Some of you might remember her, but I'd bet almost all of you handed her your payment for lunch at the mountain at some point.
Re: Kathy - food court cashier
Really sad to hear this news. She was a staple there. Always such a hard worker and definitely no nonsense!
She will be missed.
She will be missed.
Re: Kathy - food court cashier
I used to chat with her for years, hard nosed on the outside but friendly & warm once you crack the ice layer. She would cut me slack sometimes, or say hi even though she was busy. Really tasked the young kids well to do the job right. Everything changes, seems like nothing changes for the better recently.
Re: Kathy - food court cashier
She was running Ramshead food last year. Always got her to smile by saying Hello and asking questions. She worked the summers at KBL when biking started. I'll miss her as will management. Can't find dedicated help like that easily in a ski resort.

She seemed as perky and healthy as ever last season. What changed? What did she pass away from?
Sad news indeed. We will miss her "tough" love.

That's a shame. Very nice nice person. I was wondering why she wasn't working the peak lodge this summer. She was doing summers up there for a long time. Going to miss her.
Re: Kathy - food court cashier
How old was she? I love anybody with a good work ethic these days. That says a lot about a person.
Re: Kathy - food court cashier
How sad that Kathy finally checked out. I am in my 40s and I remember seeing her working since I was in my 20s.
Re: Kathy - food court cashier
Sorry to hear this. As already mentioned by another zoner, she was business like but nice. Kind of sobering to see people you're familiar with pass on.

So sad to hear this news. As others have said she was a good worker and she will be missed. May she rest in peace.
Re: Kathy - food court cashier
If this is the Kathy I am thinking of, she was a fixture at Ramshead Lodge. She did a great job, and was part of our ski day since we always start at Ramshead. I know my wife and I will miss her. So sorry to hear this news.

guessing it was cancer since memorial contributions should be sent to Healing Winds Vermont.
