Re: Cuomo No Mo’
Honestly, he wasn't the worst governor, outside of the nursing home thing he wasn't so bad, except he couldn't keep his hands to himself. He was an arrogant asshole but most politicians are.l
Re: Cuomo No Mo’
He is a jackass and the MSM loved him during the first 6 months of the China virus pandemic. He sent China virus infected patients to nursing homes where the most vulnerable people are despite having a floating hospital delivered to NY by Trump. He designed and sold a poster depicting the great job he did. He wrote a book and profited on the pandemic. He gave scarce virus test to friends and family. He groped people who worked for him. In short, he is a f*** creep Democrat.

Re: Cuomo No Mo’
Have you ever driven around upstate NY at all? It's an absolute economic wasteland on par with the worst parts of appalachia. It's startling how depressed it is and it's a huge vast region of run down, depressed, cities and towns that have been dying a slow death for the last 7 decades. The Cuomos have done nothing for NY except stick a fork in it. I hope that pig goes to jail.daytripper wrote: ↑Aug 10th, '21, 12:51 Honestly, he wasn't the worst governor, outside of the nursing home thing he wasn't so bad, except he couldn't keep his hands to himself. Couldn't tell u about upstate, I live on Long Island. btw, I agree that he should be tried criminally and sent to jail, but I doubt that will happen.KingsFourMan wrote: ↑Aug 10th, '21, 16:05Have you ever driven around upstate NY at all? Re: Cuomo No Mo’
The northern expanses of NYS have been struggling for many, many years, way before Cuomo became Governor. Cuomo actually started paying attention to the “north country” and trying to make some economic gains. The problem is typical of rural areas throughout New England and the northeast in general - lack of good jobs, aging population, decreasing industrial base where industry even existed. Plattsburgh is making some progress with development at the old Air Force base but driving across the NY Thruway from Albany to Syracuse shows you what the region is up against.KingsFourMan wrote: ↑Aug 10th, '21, 16:05Have you ever driven around upstate NY at all? Re: Cuomo No Mo’
Excessive job killing taxes and stifling government regulation certainly haven't helped the cause. The Cuomos have been around long enough to try and do something about that. Regardless, King Andrew is gone which can only be good for NY. Hopefully they prosecute the hell out of that lying, arrogant, power trip of an asshole and he rots in jail where he belongs. Will be fun to watch Cuomo Prime Time tonight on CNN to see if that Fredo brother of his has anything to say about it.Bubba wrote: ↑Aug 10th, '21, 17:23The northern expanses of NYS have been struggling for many, many years, way before Cuomo became Governor. Re: Cuomo No Mo’
Replace upstate NY with any place in the country whether red or blue. It's a macroeconomic international trade issue, not a state issue. The toothpaste is out of the tube on trade and it will not go back to the way things once were in these locations ever. Manufacturing is not going to return like it was in these areas. But the people that live there somehow hold out hope. I mean I'm sure it sucks to be from Berlin, NH and see how much better it was when your grandparents were in their prime. But a dose of reality is needed. Time to pack up and move to where the opportunities are. I left VT after living there from aged 14 to 25 exactly because of that reason.Bubba wrote: ↑Aug 10th, '21, 17:23The northern expanses of NYS have been struggling for many, many years, way before Cuomo became Governor. The only places in such rural locations that stand a chance are those that either have a strong University and supporting service needs or they are desirable tourist destinations. I can see a decent ROI in government investing in such locations. Throwing money at an Amsterdam, NY or wherever? Sorry, get a job in Albany

Re: Cuomo No Mo’
I'll disagree with just about 100% of the above. It's only a macroeconomical international trade issue because the politicians in our country made it such. Republican/Democrat no difference they are all the same. Ashamed that the vast majority are more interested in retaining power/control and gaining wealth, all while the people they are supposed to represent are tossed to the side and lied to. Save me the Bernie Sanders is for the people crap, he's only looking out for his own keister and promoting the marxist/socialist progressive agenda.deadheadskier wrote: ↑Aug 10th, '21, 18:43Replace upstate NY with any place in the country whether red or blue. Will these classic upstate industry towns come back and flourish, maybe so, maybe not but, let's at least afford them the opportunity to do so by lifting regulations and restrictions that have been placed on their shoulders but not the rest of the competing Countries and State's for that matter. Maybe if some of the billions of dollars that are being afforded to folks who are illegally crossing our borders and disrespecting our sovereignty were spent on these great CNY cities and our politicians were more for taking back our country instead of giving it away..........

No more huh?
What if Cuomo runs picks a purple county in NYS and runs for a sitting republican's seat with the $18M he has in the bank?
Will thoust unleash another blithering tirade? Me thinks so.
