Trattoria Il Panino is awesome low key spot.

The Ossobuco alla Milanese over saffron risotto is the best.

Had I offered a recommendation prior to you going, it would have absolutely been Mama Maria. Great choice. Earlier in my career I used to sell high end meats to fine dining restaurants in Boston. I've probably ate at every restaurant in the North End. Always considered Mama Maria to be the best of the best.
