Sunday, 3/20 report …..

Post by MrsG »

If it's brown go around.
If it clear, don't go near.
If it's taupe, there is hope.
If it's white, it's alright.

Well, sometimes taupe is better than white; clear across some trails and at lift entries that need to be navigated! Mother Nature sure has been fickle!

Rotd shared with Panic/Needles, Skylark/High Road, Stash/Dream Maker; Wrotd definitely Snowshed to shuttle:(. Be safe out there!

2 nice spring days - the r*in never really came during ski sessions but the forecast kept the people away. Got stranded for abit at needles when lighting rolled in on Saturday so it was an early happy hour at jerks

Saturday was rough, and stopped early when they closed the lifts for lightning, a 1st for me. Had a good time Sunday on wildfire with some nice soft bumps. Superstar was bumping up nicely as was outer limits. I think they need a snowstorm of the century to drop about 5' to keep this place going. So sad to see it like this, i feel bad I was complaining about conditions 2 weeks ago, compared to now it was amazing. Has to be worth it to warrant the 6 hour drive and money spent on hotel/lift tickets etc. Jealous of the locals who can ski later in the season and just pop in and do a few runs of spring bumps.

Afternoon Report: Way better than expected. A bit of mist most of the time that was not a real issue. Although we started at Snowdon, spent most of the session at Bear where it was warmer, better snow, and better vis.

ROTD: OL. Thankfully, they did not groom it and it appeared to be draining pretty good. It will still lock up when it freezes, but better than if they had groomed it.

Wildfire very good TTB. Stash -> DM Park also good.

Agree Panic -> Needle's Eye very good.

Lower Pipe Dream, though a bit of pain to get to / get out of was excellent. Three peat.

Cascade not bad, but worse vis.

Side note: Ladies tee to LEF closed. So, can't get down it from Snowdon anymore.
