This morning, it seems like a 10-fold increase in them as well as seeing the same ad [house for sale in Cavendish for one] in multiple places on each page.

As I've heard the moderators say before, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!
I started using Brave browser. I don’t have any ads come up at all on this site and most other sites.

If it delays a portion of NR or TTB some amount due to unusual marginal conditions such that Superstar hogs 100% of available air, so be it. Once Superstar is done, those dozen extra WC compressors bring huge air capacity to get terrain expansion into high gear bigger than before.
yup. despite the minor interruption for maybe 2 weeks, overall the WC has been a huge positive for the mtn. not sure anyone else in the east can even host a WC t-giving weekend.

big deal we fall behind for a week or two. we will catch up and surpass. we open earlier. ski til june. by the end of the season, we'll have made far more snow than anyone else. and yeah i'm disappointed if they don't get certain trails open as quickly as they might otherwise, but no way am i gonna rant & rave and call it a "fail."

They really don't catch up anymore. Last year they were far behind even resorts with much weaker snowmaking systems until that storm just before Christmas. This year it'll be yet another week before we get Superstar back. Their snowmaking just isn't what it used to be.

End of day update. Still only 4 guns and not a snowmaker in sight on North Ridge or Snowdon. The only trails they're making snow on, we won't get to ski for another 4 weeks. Pathetic.

Yeah, how terrible... I guess maybe you should go ski at one of those other resorts that are open right now.

Google Adsense recently rolled out “auto ads” where they place ads on the site based on certain stats. I believe I have them all disabled now and ads should only appear inline in threads and at the bottom of the page.

We’re not trying to make money off the site, just trying to pay the bills… after 15 or so years of self funding (by the admins). The inline ads pretty much get us to break even.

I'll do some reaching out but to me the lack of snowmaking again overnight except to bolster Upper GN is indicative of a capacity, staffing or mechanical issue. Without knowing more and seeing the density on SS, SL and Nivis I would lean towards the former.

Unless their long range looks significantly better than what I see, TTB for the weekend is going to be quite difficult.

Well, while true it is great to be the only one open, it is also fair to question why there were only 4 guns going (if this is indeed the case) on a night that seemed to reach the single digits in temperature, which seem like they would be prime snowmaking temps.

One would have thought the entire place would have been lit up?
