in any case, this all augurs for a great weekend w supe & snowshed coming on-line in addition to highline & LEF.
I heard the mid-day Canyon closing yesterday [Tuesday] was due to some sort of pipe blowout? Not sure if that's correct or not.

Can verify guns were on Highline, Snowshed, LEF, Upper Mixing Bowl [I like that term BTW! - Not to be confused with the original one below Mouse Trap], and the carpets.

Cannot verify any guns on Bitter. I didn't see them going up there.

If there was, at least it was a far easier place to access than the previous ones!

We are holding at a steady 50% of the open terrain of the resort with the most open in New England.

Snowmaking got awfully quiet all of a sudden, Snowshed, LEF and Highline all shutdown. That doesn't bode well. 18 degrees at K-1.

Did they get curtailed at 18 degrees? It used to be it needed to be about 0 before that happened.

Curtailment is about load vs generation, not temperature, although the two can be related.

It's also about price per kwh for the load above the resort's base load, ie at what price do they decide to self-curtail.

Still shutdown, man this is some prime time to miss again whatever the reason (I've heard zilch).

If there is truly no snowmaking happening right now, that is pretty disheartening to hear. After a very disappointing early season rollout too.

I don't think they've gotten through a good snowmaking window without either curtailments, pipe blowouts, or other unforced errors. Everyone else is going full tilt now, and Killington just lags behind. If it weren't for Superstar, then Highline would've been the only new trail open this weekend, assuming it doesn't get closed for racing.

Maybe too many of them lost their passes for poaching and walked off.
