Aspen East is my main “go to”. Of course I have been to many others on occasion as well.

Aspen East is my #1 choice. Many excellent shops in the area. We are truly lucky to have so many great shops. Pick one and support them.

First Stop. Somewhat for convenience but nice family run shop.
Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down

I'd agree with this top 5 list, in a different order. A lot depends on what brands of skis you gravitate towards, what brand boots fit you the best, and what clothing you prefer.

Clear leaders in their field:
Black Dog, hand tuning
Basin, clothing
Basin, Northern; boot fitting
Peak Performance, racer stuff
Forerunner, bumper stuff
Base Camp, tele and back country stuff
Potter Bros, boutique, carving and wider on-hill demo skis.
Shops at Rte 4, #2 on clothing selection, best 50% off spring sales.

Honorable mention to Totem Pole Ski Shop in Ludlow.

the ones I go to most are mostly because I know people there and I'm also happy w the product/service I get from them...none are listed in any particular order though I've been going to aspen/surf since as long as I can remember...Surefoot footbeds are worth the $ too...had mine for a LONG time now...no worse for wear....one of the very best "custom" upgrades one can get...

each shop has its brands and no one shop is likely to have every single thing you want or need in stock...

Black Dog is my go to. Dave is great. Best tune and always great deals on almost everything I need. Rarely do I need to shop anywhere else. I hit up base camp outfitters for skins recently and I do stop into Basin during the year end sales for high end Gortex 3L gear at close out prices. I grabbed a Black Diamond Gortex Pro shell there a couple seasons ago for under $200. Other than that maybe REI in NY for deals on clothing. My girls got Arcteryx 3L shells there at unreal prices.
