Hey, Sprite -- thanks for a great read -- in addition to trail maps, I'd suggest sticking this in your back pack: Su Código de Responsabilidad El esquí se puede gozar de muchas maneras. En los centros de esquí uno puede encontrar gente practicando esquí alpino, snowboard, telemark, cross country y v...

Re: Monday Morning

I talked to some snow makers yesterday and they said Bear should be open by next week but they're not sure it'll be open for this coming weekend. From today's snow report: "Snowmaking temperatures continue and more snow is in the forecast for this week with Bear Mountain and Pico Mountain sche...

Back in the mid 70's I saw a pair of weekend guido warriiors smack it out in a liftline at Hunter. One had skied onto the others tails and it got ugly. I got roped off a busted lift at Okemo last year Snowbird 1985, a buddy and I are riding a chair with a pretty, local woman in her early 20's. My f...

Generally takes me about 8-9 hours door to door.

This includes 45 minutes waiting at the airport, 30 minutes picking up a rental car, 30-60 minutes for lunch/dinner and 30 minutes for food shopping.

But once at K, I can probably beat Bubba! :D

I went out around 12:15 to close on my property purchase and it was snowing relatively lightly and around 30 degrees. Maybe an inch on the ground at my house. I came back in a few minutes ago. It's now snowing heavily, 2" - 3" on the ground, and the temperature is in the mid 20s. Access r...

Most areas refuse other instructors or persons to conduct lessons upon their property. Yes, it may have been part of the Green Mountain Forest, but STOWE is proprietor of the area during winter months and may remove you if they feel you are infringing upon their business. So if you wanted to give a...
