Re: Why people don't ski Killington
Sorry got cut off, that is many peoples impressions. The false claim of it being crowded is the biggest reason.......when in fact I rarely run into any crowds on the lifts and only occasionally at crossovers, etc.Gutts wrote:Cuz it sucks..............

Re: Killington vs Sugarloaf
Can't disagree with anything Geoff said, pretty much sums it up. I would say the windholds during late December and January are a huge minus...........also the holds that follow major storms....nothing worse than not being able to catch the freshies when 2/3rds of the lifts are down.........not Suga...

Re: Killington vs. Sunday River
Was at Sunday River yesterday, Killington last Fri. One thing Sunday River has going for it over Killington, at least right now, is a more positive vibe. Terrain there is not as challenging as Killington. Skiied White Heat for 1 run yesterday, had fresh MM on it. With the exception of a steep secti...

Re: Why people don't ski Killington
Good thread with some good comments in it. I started skiing Killington in March of 1979 and quickly fell in love with the place and made it my skiing home for the better part of 25 yrs. What I loved about it was: 1. It’s awesome size and great diversity of terrain. 2. It’s relentless commitment to ...

Re: Why people don't ski Killington
These are not entirely my view points, but things that one might find as turn offs to Killington. Remember Killington is a hype machine and when you don't live up to the hype it can leave a less than positive feeling for people. This is from the person looking to make a couple visits, the random day...

Re: Killington Cracks The 200" Mark !!
And yet, what does that get you? I haven't been overly impressed with the natural conditions. The reality is that 211 inches is most likely BS to begin with, but even if it were accurate what has it gotten us? I mean is an 18 inch storm total really 18 inches when it r*ins out in the middle or towar...

Re: 133 inches already WOW!
Ugh, should probably add in the r*in they get, and to be honest they have gotten a lot of r*in following a good powder days. All that snow means sh*t when it is melted/washed away. Mother Nature is a cruel and fickle bitch. I am sure places to the north are fareing much better, Sugarloaf (which prob...

Re: Most Open Terrain in New England.................
I understand. I actually like Killington, but as typical with northeastern resorts killiington just trys to hype things up so much more than what they have to offer. There patrons really are in love with "the stats" of killington which really don't rival many other eastern resorts. Things ...

Shortski I understand this, sorry if I wasn't clear. It actually doesn't really bother me at all that is says that. Just bored.
And as far as not saying anything in the snow report no it may not of, but at the time I posted it it said it on the home page for killington.

Most Open Terrain in New England.................
Sugarloaf!
Update your web page. Although I am sure by weeks end Killington will have by far the most terrain open in the east.
