Re: Still Winter this Week

One brave soul skiied one run in shorts in the morning. Also a young rider was heading up in shorts at 12:30 as I was leaving. Love the idea but it was a tad too cold for my legs.

Re: Anybody ski today?

The Monday morning real world was not as good as Atomics1's dreams but a couple of inches of fresh powder groomed into the base made for a morning of sweet turns. Good number of skiers and riders for the first bell at 10. Took a couple of hours for the hard surface to reappear. A fun winter day with...

Re: First chair at 1000

Your advice was just what I needed Shortski. I went to pull a beer and realized that my CO2 cylinder needed replacing. Had plenty of time to run to town to get a replacement, hooked it up and pulled a cold one to make sure the beer was still good. Again proving beer is the solution to most problems....

First chair at 1000

My schedule is totally shot. He I sit ready to head out the door but I have a hour to kill until first chair. Too early to have a beer. Maybe I can go arrange my ski sock drawer. Any suggestions?

Re: Anybody ski today?

Sunday morning was a repeat of Saturday minus the morning snow. Early fast laps on SS and Sky-High-Sweet sure beat laps on Rime and Reason. Got a great leg burn going. Chance of snow this evening. Hang on winter.

Re: Overnight Snow....

Started snowing at 6:30 with almost a inch by opening bell. Very nice winter skiing day with snow falling for the morning. March starts with snow and ends with snow.

Re: choice of ski this weekend and a flat easy hike

GS would the correct ski for the morning. It may only get into the low 40's by the afternoon so the snow will be slow to corn. Nice flat hike is along Kent Pond on the AT. Park in the Kent Pond access off Rt 100 (one tenth of a mile North of 4). You can hike the trail down to Thundering Brook Falls....

Re: Overnight Snow....

Powder almost up to the top of my metal edges. Just enough to make cold smoke turns down SS. Sunny and very nice winter day. Maybe we can get at least a inch of powder for the morning.

Re: The official KZone "Killington is Amazing" Thread

Love skiing the Canyon with the steeps, bumps, trees and the best snow on the mountain. This has been my favorite place to ski for the last 34 years. Heavenly Reverse Stairway – Our link to early season turns. Devils Den, Centerpiece, Growler, Mark’s Woods and the Super Secret Trees. All my favorite...
