Re: Skier Dies in Fall from Lift at Breckenridge

Sad story, my condolences. Unfortunately, "clearing snow and ice" from the chair surface is optional; sitting down is not.

Yep

Looks like whoever was in there got out and walked around on the ice

Re: Sunday 03/09/2025

Finally had the opportunity of skiing with Bird Man. Missed sharing a gondola with him by one cabin. Horn was blowing. You do not want to share a gondola with him. I try not to judge, and curiosity almost got the best of me, but in the end I decided it was best to grab the next one. Also, bird man ...

Re: Men Die More, Snowboarding Is Safer

none of the findings are surprising to me. males in general have a higher tolerance for risk, weigh more and go faster. at the learning stages they try to brute force their way into making their equipment do what they want, instead of using proper technique to do so. whereas females tend to take in...

Re: What Can the New Owners do to Fix K This Season

Well this thread has gotten off topic. [...] Regardless, the new owners are big KMS/KSC supporters, so good luck with your Karma plan. While some of the more visible new owners are KMS/KSC fans, I know there are others who don't much care for racing. I'd love to see a much-reduced emphasis and reduc...

What Can the New Owners do to Fix K This Season? Pull more passes for reckless skiing and riding. This is low hanging fruit that is inexpensive to implement and has an immediate and positive effect on the overall skiing and riding experience. how would you define reckless? for me personally, id lov...

Re: friday 11/29 report

IMG_2912.jpeg I'm in your photo! Directly under the gondola cabin closest to the camera. Late opening, big crowds, and long lines- but still a magical day. All in my group were glad they made it out. I don't know if it was the fresh snow, the world cup, the new ownership, or all of the above, but t...

Remember when they changed mouse trap from a black to a blue , I believe it was around 2018 . Every Saturday was a total blood bath . I was stopped at the top of the steeper pitch and there was a 20something girl crying saying “ this isn’t fair there’s no way this trail should be a blue “ I guess K...

Well, I was really upset when they got to move the Upper Snowdon Poma to their own private little corner of Ram's. That was one of my favorite lifts.

Re: Timing of Killington Forward

As Michael Sneyd said, he couldn't show us updated renders because they were in the process of revising the design still. From conversations after the presentation, I understood that the revised design is moving away from the "futuristic" look, more towards a traditional Vermont look. We w...

Re: Superstar lift upgrade

Yes, new superstar lift will spin the opposite way and have a straight-in loading like the Snowden 6

Mike Solimano said running the Superstar lift for higher capacity would be for when the K1 has problems, for example
