Re: Ski New Hampshire Advice
North Conway is cool. We stayed there last year and rode 4 resorts. I liked Wildcat and Bretton Woods a lot and probably won't be hurrying back to Attitash or Cranmore. It did help that we got absolutely dumped on while there. My buddy who plans the trips just booked a place in Franconia for next wi...

Wow, my uncle lives off of that exit.
Glad to hear nobody was badly hurt in that mess.

Re: How far are you willing to walk in ski boots?
+1 :like Real skiers put their boots on to rip lines .. not to hoof around over on Snowshed. Yes. Years ago, Burton did offer a decent line of clothing and footwear. :Toast First time snowboarding so snowshed was appropriate. My young daughters so I take exception to the term hoof there...

Snowboarding without highbacks
Has anyone else ever tried snowboarding without highbacks? I got a new setup this year, Sims deck with NOW bindings. New Vans boots as well. Noticed that the NOW bindings (innovative in their design due to the energy transfer right to the edges) had an option to ride without highbacks so I picked up...

Re: security warning on So, how's that World Cup course prep
Hs is a pos. I'll make a project out of you because I'm not on the k payroll and I can. Your 2 little disrepctfull bird flippers as well. That doesn't look good for Audi or the FIS. I would hope a fine moderator from this board would have some decency and ban him soon. He is a disease. I agree with...

Re: Gondola Rides
Last fall I was up at K with my wife. As it happened, that visit coincided with the start of cold enough weather to begin blowing snow. We hiked up to the top of Killington peak on the trail that follows Skye Bits and Superstar to start, then cuts up across through Julio and Anarchy woods. Planned o...

Re: Listen to Lindsey
If it looks close I just assume the person in front of me boarder or skier is an idiot who could turn in any direction and because I do not know them and if it could wreak me if things go wrong I bail. It kills some great lines but I would rather miss the line than argue about it in court from my w...

Re: Listen to Lindsey
I collided with a skiier once in all my years of snowboarding, about 4 years ago. She was one of those annoying little middle school aged racer kids that think they own the entire mountain. I was riding down towards the chairlifts, on a slight downhill traverse at the bottom of the racecourse. She c...

Re: Coming to a Killington near you (drone content)
Not trying to burst your bubble, but pretty sure K (just like most other ski resorts) has a no drone policy. Just checked trail map from last year and it's right on the front. Oh ok. Just like all those other rules people don't break at Killington. Got it. I was just trying to be helpful. Shame on ...

And yes, it was 100 to 11 to 30. Only problem on the way home was a stone taking a good chunk out of the windshield on 87. Police in New Jersey were pulling folks over left and right. Got a very warm welcome from wife, kids and dog.

Re: Big Moose Deli Bypass
Spanky - From the house we stayed at at bottom of West hill road. Usually takes 7 hrs, today we got home in 6:40. Even if it wasn't any faster it sure was way more scenic and with less traffic stops.

And taking 100 South was about 15 minutes faster than 7 from Rutland. Thanks for that tip too.

Re: Big Moose Deli Bypass
Thanks Bobby. We had no problems getting thru there. Just got on I-87 at Albany. It will be my turn to drive in about 10 minutes.
Once again, it was nice meeting you and we had a great week up there regardless of some of the weather.
