Mmm. Bad planning. Inserting redundant emoticon here -tyrolean_skier wrote:Wasn't the winter 1996-1997 epic by comparison. I believe it was since I missed the whole thing because I was pregnant the whole ski season.altabird wrote:cityskier, thanks for the post, most of that makes sense, the only thing with comparing winters (as noted in the post) is that we have only been keeping detailed weather records for about a century. Coorelations and are made based on an extremely small portion of the overall weather conditions over time. Anyway, the winter of 1995-6 was amazing, hope we fall into that pattern again this winter
Edit: After looking at the chart the 1995-1996 year was very good too but skiing until June 22 is still the record I believe.

I was 8 during Woodstock and as it happens my uncle owns a summer house not too far from Yasgur's farm. We went up there right in the middle of the festival to begin a 2 week vacation at my uncles house.junior wrote:If you remember the '60s, you weren't there.Eski wrote:I remember this one storm in the 60's when it was so deep ........... nah, whom am I kiddin', I don't remember the 60's or too much of any decade after
All I can remember thinking is:
1. Why do all these guys got long hair
2. It's really funny to repaint a speed limit sign that says "35" to "85". Even funnier to see some fools actually believe it.
3. What's that smell?

I'll take 1995-1996 over again, IN UTAH. Although it started a little slow, the January and the spring had huge dumpage:
