Friday Report:)

Post by MrsG »

Started late again today . . . snowmaking on all the same trails as yesterday as well as Cascade and Skylark. It has also been snowing all morning . . . decided to quit to get some chores done in Rutland since it was much more crowded than yesterday . . . but, it is snowing so hard, we opted to shop at KillingtonMarkup instead. Not sure what it is doing off the Access Road, but decided not to take the chance that the temps would fall more causing slick roads. It was 31 degrees when we left the mountain and 29 here behind the Summit. The 7-day outlook on the local weather channel is indicating snow through Sunday . . . and the local doppler radar is showing snow coming all the way from the Great Lakes . . . bring it on!!! . . . but, please do drive carefully!!!

I went out around 12:15 to close on my property purchase and it was snowing relatively lightly and around 30 degrees. Maybe an inch on the ground at my house. I came back in a few minutes ago. It's now snowing heavily, 2" - 3" on the ground, and the temperature is in the mid 20s. Access road and East Mountain Road are snow covered and a bit on the slick side. Plows are just getting out, or so it seems, so at least the local roads should improve this afternoon. Not sure what's happening in Rutland or down toward Ludlow so drive carefully this afternoon and this evening coming up. You may hit bad roads once you get up north.

Ridgetop, over near Highridge Condo. I have a clear winter time view from Pico to Needles Eye. I might even put up a webcam.

Awesome! Congrats. That sounds very exciting! It's nice to be able to start from scratch and have the place built in your vision.
