3+ hrs. if my girlfriend is with me -- "oh, can you stop so I can get some coffee?" and then the inevitable 30 minutes later: "I need to stop and use the bathroom." Women.

Tell her no.
Two sniffs, a snort, a fly, a turn and a grunt; and it was so simple like the jitterbug it plumb evaded me.
Did the taconic route for the first time last weekend. Cut almost 40 miles off
the trip, though because of the 55 mph speed limit it still takes almost 5 hours.
Is a nice, scenic ride though......
You didn't drive 55 the whole way, did you?
'course not. But I don't do 65 on the thruway either. Did see a fair number - 4 or 5 - of staties on the TSP. Is that normal?

They have been a little more aggressive than usual, but that seems to be all around, even in VT. I pretty much do 65 and they don't bother me.

They are always out on the TSP during daylight hours. At night and in bad weather they seem to disappear. One favorite spot they like is right at the end before you get off onto 295 (northbound). I guess they like to give out tickets as parting gifts...
It is a long ass 7:30 for me... probably longer in weather and traffic, but I can make Glens Falls NY in about 6:40 under good conditions (summer, dry, flowing, cruise control at 75mph, stop only for piss/sh*t/gas).

Ludlow ain't K! You're still pushing 4 hours toots!
Not for long dood! I'd rather drive the 30 min up route 100N in the a.m. when roads are clear than at midnight during a bad-ass nor'easter and end up in one of the Plymouth lakes!
So that's what we are gonna do next season.
