Actually, reading Jack Welch's Winning...good book and an easy read. Just finished reading biography of Ben Franklin. Before that, had a quick read of one of Dave Barry's books and before that, a biography of John Adams. I think before that I read the third in the series of biographies of Lyndon Johnson called Master of the Senate, although I may have read something else in between and can't recall off the top of my head. As you can tell, I hate historical biographies.
read those all the way thru school...if only I could remember
You read those all the way thru school only if you were in school the last couple of years.

Two sniffs, a snort, a fly, a turn and a grunt; and it was so simple like the jitterbug it plumb evaded me.

Nice injury. Been there, done that...also from basketball. Cast for 10 days or so, then a brace for 5 - 6 weeks, maybe a bit longer. How 'bout you?

I completely snapped it. Cast for six weeks, adjustable cam boot for six weeks after that to stretch the tendon, then rehab. As the orthopedic surgeon explained, he had to trim the "mop" on each end of the tendon before grafting it back together.

Needless to say, I am not skiing the rest of this season. You can have November and December, but March and April are my favorite months to ski.

I completely snapped mine too but, for whatever reason, the doc took me out of the cast in 10 days, then relied on the brace for the remainder. I only had two questions for the doc when he told me what I'd done:

1. Will I be able to drive in the brace (it was might right ankle)? - Maybe
2. Will I be able to ski next season (this was in June)? - Probably

I came out of the brace with the flexibility I should've had after 3 weeks of PT and I was actually skiing before Christmas. However, I couldn't drive for the first 4 - 5 weeks in the brace until he lowered the angle of the heel. Good luck!

Reading Skinny Dip by Carl Hiaasen. Writes outrageously funny fiction.
