This week's forecast predicts colder temperatures and scattered snow showers to arrive on Tuesday and continue throughout the week. One thing you can count on when the colder weather hits is for snowmaking to get to work on re-surfacing and expanding our terrain.

Killington has the most open terrain, served by the most lifts in the East. We currently have 61% of our total terrain open.

Would be nice if they did, but I don't think we'll see any snow making anywhere except what's needed to cover up coming special events, like BMMC.

from snow-forecast:

(2661 ft) Issued at 06 am Mon 13 Mar SUMMARY FORECAST: Heavy r*in (total 1.9in), heaviest during Mon afternoon. Later becoming colder with a dusting of snow on Tue morning , Freeze-thaw conditions (max 50°F on Mon night, min 12°F on Wed night) Winds increasing (light winds from the SSW on Mon morning, strong winds from the SW by Mon night)

given what happened the last few days, this is the just another kick in the teeth. at this point we're gonna get very little help from the mtn. we do need winter to return but in a BIG way.

could be worse, think about the people up for spring break or maybe
them Brits if they're in this week. Though the r*in might not bother them,
they're used to it.

This is Canadian Ski Week here (my parking lot is full of Ontario tags) and they've got to be water skiing out there right now. It's been pouring for the last 20 - 30 minutes and more - more like a car wash than a ski resort. This sucks!

It's the Canadians who are in town this week. I know because that is the reason I had to be out early from my condo. It is also vacation week for Dr. No, Frau Sher, Dr.Z and family. Luckyontheducky is also up there for the month of March. I feel bad for them and hope that the weather turns around quickly on Tuesday. It will be boiler plate unfortunately.

no good news for any of those folks and the ducky is not so lucky this week at least. maybe the doc will like it since he's a racer and likes it fast.
