I need some advice. We are looking to go out west for april break and are trying to figure out where to go. We are stuck between mammoth, tahoe, and utah. Can anyone give some insight here? Thanks.

At the very least, Brighton, Alta, and Solitude are only open until the middle of April, I believe April 15-17

I see some of the resorts have extended their season to April 23, but you may want to check closing dates on wherever you decide to go.

Utah is by far easiest to get to. All have much snow. I'm going to Snowbird April 20th. They're going to be open daily into mid-May. Weekends after that. And they got 22 inches yesterday.

If you've got the gear, it won't matter if the lifts are closed. Utah has some of the most easily accesable backcountry (that I personally know about, anyway.)

I would definetly you check out the Utah backcountry while you're there. If it's your first time there, you will definetly enjoy it even more. Just make sure you leave a note in your hotel room of where you're going in case something happens.
