you all picked the same date?

Sounds like the end result will be a Yankee Swap.

What date did you all go for?

Any report from the field on progress regarding top to bottom coverage? I'm not sure I read anything about that.

Those still in the running include:

Snowsprite - 11/6
Borgy, SkiPutt - 11/7
Dr. NO, Skiladi, Steve - 11/9
Big Kahuna, Jim - 11/10
Bubba - 11/11
Finn - 11/13
Berkshiregal - 11/14

The rules state:

"Each entrant must pick a date and state their wine offering. There can be more than one entry choosing the same date. The winner will be the person or persons who pick the date closest to the actual opening date without going past. The winner(s) will receive half of the wine bottles; the other half will go toward a season opening party, the date and place to be determined. If opening day comes after the last entry date, there will be no winner and all of the wine will go toward drowning our depression about the late opening."

Ya mean if they open after Berkshiregal's date all the whine, er wine, goes to the party? Hell of a price to pay for a late opening.

YEP, 11-9 and 11-10 are gone. 11-11 through next week don't look good. Maybe we should sacrifice Birkshiregal, or stone her, for such a late date. Url might appreciate a true sacrifice.

Almost party time, with or without snow.

Is there a God of spelling to whom you could be sacrificed?

Birkshiregal?
Url?

Come to think of it, maybe this is your fault for consistently misspelling the name of the God?
