Yeah, I copied that wrong. But it will be quickly out of date anyway. My point is that it is somewhat unusual to mention your competitors in this manner, and it may come back to bite them. Live by the sword, die by the sword and all that. Didn't mention Bretton Woods (3 green trails, 2 lifts). What this approach says is they think they have an edge, and (more importantly) they are confident they can keep it. I like the swagger.Gangsta Rider wrote:17 Trails androgman wrote:On the home page of Killington's Website:

I actually rode the lift yesterday and today many times with people that normally do not ski Killington but were there this weekend because it was the resort with the most terrain open so I think it paid off for Killington to wait to open and get more terrain covered.newpylong wrote:Still much more than anyone else.

Open is Open
Killington definitely has the the most. I skied Mt Snow Saturday and Okemo Sunday. Mount Snow has two trails, Okemo has one.......period. That is not to say the skiing wasn't excellent at both places! Had a blast, especially Okemo with the decent verticle and soft snow Sunday!

Where are all the users that were screaming for ASC's head now?tyrolean_skier wrote:I actually rode the lift yesterday and today many times with people that normally do not ski Killington but were there this weekend because it was the resort with the most terrain open so I think it paid off for Killington to wait to open and get more terrain covered.newpylong wrote:Still much more than anyone else.
They finally see how much sense ASC was making and they've FINALLY shut their traps

Personally, I think most of them would have come to Killington if Killington had opened early with only a couple of trails. These are the hard-core skiers that need to get on the snow was soon as possible.XtremeJibber2001 wrote:Where are all the users that were screaming for ASC's head now?tyrolean_skier wrote:I actually rode the lift yesterday and today many times with people that normally do not ski Killington but were there this weekend because it was the resort with the most terrain open so I think it paid off for Killington to wait to open and get more terrain covered.newpylong wrote:Still much more than anyone else.

Killington most definately has bragging rights with all the terrain. Was there this weekend and the terrain was nice. However, went to Mt. Snow on Saturday, the two runs they has opened kept us entertained nicely for a good part of the day. They were longer and had more sustained vertical than any trails that Killington had opened. It's all good, the season has started! :)
