Pats and Chargers

Post by swiftskier »

It looks like this is going to be one of the biggest challenges the Pats have faced in their dynasty years. I'm not betting on them to win, but it could be a great game. Partly for this reason I went out and bought a 35 inch wide, flat screen HD TV and installed it on the wall of my bedroom. It's even bigger than the one I installed in the family room. What a weekend of football this will be. Any Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders who want to join me in bed Sunday, send an e-mail to snowyguy@gmail.com

The MASTER of D and real reason the GIANTS won 2 Superbowls when he was there ,Mr. Bill Belicheck will confuse the young QB P. Rivers and the Pats win on Turnovers.

I don't think any Pats fan really knows what to expect after the turnover fest in Denver last year. San Diego is flavor of the week and it's hard to say how that will translate in the playoffs. You know New England will do their usual thing and take away the other team's #1 weapon (LT) but San Diego also has a very good tight end and a Rodney Harrison-free secondary doesn't tackle big power receivers very well.

I don't have wall space any larger. However, I have a recordable dvd player and will try and record as many games as I can this weekend.
Colts over Ravens
Pats over Chargers
Bears on top (Seattle can never get a superbowl team going)
Saints over Eagles

kinda funny how everyones picks are different,.. i do believe that the winner of the pats/chargers game will be in the superbowl no matter the outcome of ravens colts

After the mutually sad performance tonight during the Ravens Colts game, I don't think Indy is really a contender. Both teams played like crap, my Raven's just a tad but crappier.

Your observations are rather offensive. It was an excellent game for two good defenses. I see only Atomic1 and I have gotten the picks right so far. I recorded large portions of both games, but I find watching while recording DVD's compromises the picture. The Saints looked superb in the face of a rather impressive Eagles. Home Team advantage?

You watching the same games? An excellent game for the Colts and Ravens? Saints looked superb?

IMHO, Eagles made some bad play calls. They also couldn't stop deuce. Saints played well, but I'll stop before calling their performance 'superb'. Home field advantage had little to do with it ... I think our defense was on the field too long ... and you add that to our less then 1 week off and the Eagles less then stellar performance makes sense.

Ravens colts game was a little boring,.. but still
I don't think Indy is really a contender
i dont think alot of people realize how good the ravens defense is,... 2 of the colts FG's hit the post and went in,... and if the ravens dont throw a pick on the 5 yard line its a different game as well.... it was a good battle of defense and the colts proved that they know how to play defense....but i still think the winner of pats chargers is the superbowl team...

eagles saints game was still a good game,.. but the saints did look more dominant in their play,.. the eagles had a 75 yd pass and a 62ish yd run,.. which sure those are great and thats your goal on offense is to score but then your right jibber..,.,.
I think our defense was on the field too long ...
that happens

also,.. watching the game from a non biased position... it kinda seemed to me that alot of the ref's calls went the way of the saints and the eagles knida got screwed a few times..

I saw the same, but the penalties that were called were legit.

Saw a few holding penalties in the last 3 minutes when the Eagles had the ball, but they didn't get called ... bad calls and missed calls are part of the game.

The thing that stunned me the most is 4th & 15 with 1:58 left ... Eagles punt? I have yet to understand the logic behind this call of Mr. Reid's ... especially after it was overly evident that the defense was tired ... getting a 1-2-3-out was very slim

I never understand some of Reid's calls ... especially during the hurry-up

On a somewhat different note ... anyone see the hit on Reggie Bush during the first quarter? Huge!
