funny story about today

Post by skibags »

I don't post much..but I lurk daily

Anyway todays tale was so funny I had to post it..

Caught second chair at SNowdon Quad at 7:58AM.. Got to Upper Bunny and skied a lovely 6 tp 8 maybe more on a groomed surface. ditto Mouse Trap and Lower Chute.

Next run , moved to Highline (just ok) due to bumps underneath but still excellant overall.

Again moved on to Downdraft, Cascade, Flume and elsewhere.

During the mon I noticed that Upper Bunny had been closed for "Race Training".. Didnt pay it any heed and moved on.. Great Bear.. Etc..

Around 11AM I was moving by this ridiculous closed trail sign, notiicing that teh powder was building up , no one was skiing it.. and who races
in a pow dump anyway. This was just after the snowfall rates increased to maybe upwards to 2 inches an hour.

Ducked the rope and proceeded to ski some very very deep pow on the "Race Training " course.. Poma running.. lapped it.. did another but this time entered thru the woods.. being nice and all and not wanting to "break the Law" by ducking any ropes..

We did this 4 times in all..
I am laughing all the way..singing my pow pow song and thinking rae training..huh!!???

Last time up..

the Liftie starts to get upset..

He is standing there behind the closed sign, smoking a cig and yells to us..

You can get hurt skiing a closed trail...

At this point we are laughing so hard we are almost falling over.

He then says..

Teya re goingtorace train and they are out to lunch..

Again laughter by the few lsitening..

Poor Kid..doesn't ahve acluse what he is talking about

I tell him

1) You are not supposed to cut ropes on to a closed trail

2) BUT you are allowed to enter a closed trail from the woods..

3) No one race trains ina major dump.

He hadn't a cluse and went to call the patrol

Got my four laps and moved on

LOL

Skibags....... sounds like a fun day but you're lucky the Italia Polizia didn't get you.

Not possible?...... Si, it is possible.

The Italy way.. came thru load and clear in your story..
