Give me a break... you're going entirely too fast for the trail conditions and you are barely in control in that video. You almost fall on your ass every turn... By the way, WTF is a "mandatory GS turn".... Is someone there forcing you to make them?

Newpy,

It's "manditory", not mandatory. In Highway Stars's case, it's required to save herself from crashing and rolling into a big snowball...like in a cartoon.

Humpty is my alter-ego. Sorry I get bored and have problems. I will be up at Killington from about the 13th-17th or so hiking and camping out. So if you got some balls lets have a ski / ride off!!

In the clip, that's ~2 ft of untracked manky snow that had been sitting in the sun for 2-3 days, and hadn't been skied. To come into that at speed off the pitch, it was wise to go back to keep from going over the bars. In fact, you can see me bobble slightly in the turn transistion as I pass the camera - that's because I let me skis come back under me slightly and almost get thown forward......I throw a bit of a "twist-shrug" body move to push my skis back out in front, and then rail the right turn with my back to the camera - off the back 2 feet of the skis.

While technically I would be considered to be in the back seat, my upper body is actually in a neutral or slightly forward position. That means I'm in control and command of the turn. My mass is centered. I'm imply just making a turn off the tails of the skis....being able to do that is a trick which can be quite handy sometimes.
Highway Star wrote: Skiing the fiddle with that kind of speed, with GS turns, in that kind of cover, is INHERENTLY going to lead to sketchy, semi-out of control skiing....NO sh*t!!!!!! The fact that I keep turning, and keep upright are the key, key factors....PROOF of good skiing. I ski at the edge of control, quite often......but I don't fall...because I know what the hell I'm doing. Sometimes my technique is clean, sometimes it's crazy. But I always stay on my feet. You'd be amazed at how fast and agressively I ski without falling.

You should be noting the dozen differnent things I do in the clip that they don't teach you in ski school....you might learn something.
And now on TGR:

Hey Retardo-

HS can at least ski. And I'd say can kick your ass.
