The Weirdest most Amazing news from RedRider
I don't even know where to start.
I am adopted. Some of you know this already, Ty & Dork come to mind ;)
I am 46 years old, and as of this last Tuesday, I was pretty much alone in this world.
Tuesday at noon I got a call from the adoption agency that handled my adaption placement 46 years ago. I had been located!! It turns out I have TWO brothers, and a sister. One of the Brothers started this whole wonderful process some ten years ago!! Anyhow - after signing a release, and faxing it back, my brother called me about ten minutes later. We spoke on the phone for about an hour and laughed and cried together. The Third brother had not yet been located.
The NEXT day, Wednesday, My other brother called me, and we talked for about the same length - an hour or so. (more laughing and crying) and we found out the strangest, weirdest fact - - - We went to the same schools together, lived a mile apart, and actually knew each other, nodding to each other (with respect) in the hallways for some 10 years or so, (Maybe because we looked so much alike - who knows!!) His picture is in my yearbooks, and friends, it's scary!
Anyhow - I am packing and getting ready to make the voyage to the Garden State, where my brothers and I will be breaking bread together, and toasting our new-found families.
Unfortunately, our Sister has not yet been located, but as of Thursday they had located our Mother, alive and well and residing in North Carolina!! (due to laws in NJ, they can't give us her name, but they are efforting this major reunion like they have never done before!!!)
Funny - I spent 46 years wondering where I came from, and like a flash -
I am about to have all the answers, this is so surreal, my mind is spinningl!!
Those of you who have met me, and know me, wish me well.
Those of you who lurk and read hear, wish me well.
Bling - Humpty - - BE NICE!!
Oh yeah - To keep this skiing related - Both brothers say they are avid skiers,
and make yearly trips to the place we call: --KILLINGTON--!!
RedRider out.

Same thing happened to me goin into my senior year of college.
My grandfather on my biological fathers side found me, and I have two sisters and one brother from the same parents. After meeting and spending some time, I am sad to say I have no contact with them, all my doing. They were so different and extremely needy, with little respect for me and my own family.
Anyhow, I hope you have a great and wonderful experience.
Best wishes on your journey ahead.

Sorry to hear you've broken off ties with them but if they couldn't embrace you as you were then maybe it's for the better.skifaster wrote:Same thing happened to me goin into my senior year of college.
