I don't know if you are a man or a woman but let me tell you that for some ladies it's not so easy to get pregnant. For some it may take years of medical intervention to get the deed done so when it does happen there is no way that you would want to risk losing that child. Asia in my opinion must be missing some brain cells because if she had taken a bad fall and lost the baby then would it have been worth it to ski in that movie?woodlandclown wrote:all you ladies who are think you cant ski while pregnant should see the new meatheads movie--asia was 5 months pregant during the filming and she blew the man away IMO she was the best skier in the movie. She was skiing in the jay trees after a major dump in March.

The refund policy is designed around the concept that Powdr is f*cking the customer so you don't have to.

i am a woman, but we are missing the point. if you are that gung ho on getting pregnant and trying, then dont buy a pass. for me, missing a season isnt an option. but then, having children isnt a high priority right now either. i dont think you should be refunded for a season pass for pregnany, injury, you have to move suddenly, anything..period.tyrolean_skier wrote:I don't know if you are a man or a woman but let me tell you that for some ladies it's not so easy to get pregnant. is there any difference between getting pregnant and getting injured, in terms of whether or not you should get a refund or a pass next year?woodlandclown wrote:i am a woman, but we are missing the point. if you are that gung ho on getting pregnant and trying, then dont buy a pass. for me, missing a season isnt an option. but then, having children isnt a high priority right now either. i dont think you should be refunded for a season pass for pregnany, injury, you have to move suddenly, anything..period.tyrolean_skier wrote:I don't know if you are a man or a woman but let me tell you that for some ladies it's not so easy to get pregnant. Wow – you really don’t get it.woodlandclown wrote: i am a woman, but we are missing the point. if you are that gung ho on getting pregnant and trying, then dont buy a pass. for me, missing a season isnt an option. but then, having children isnt a high priority right now either. i dont think you should be refunded for a season pass for pregnany, injury, you have to move suddenly, anything..period.
My wife is a great skier, my loyal ski buddy for the past 10 years and hands down my most favorite person to ski with. She rips bumps, trees, everything and probably skis 40 to 50 days a season (mostly Killington).
We’ve also been trying to get pregnant for the last three years and believe me, nature does not provide a tidy little schedule for all this.
Look, if she was pregnant before the pass deadline, of course she wouldn’t buy a pass and POWDR would not get her money. Simple enough. However, if she gets pregnant after the pass deadline but before the season starts, what is the financial loss to POWDR to offer refund or at least offer a credit for next year? She hasn’t made use of any services - POWDR hasn’t spent a dime on her.
So, I ask you, what is she to do with her $600.00 pass? It’s non-transferable and cannot be resold (POWDR’s explicit stipulations). I guess you and POWDR say “tough luck, too bad – that’s the risk you take – we’re keeping your money, sucker!”
Again, I do not see what loss has POWDR incurs by (sensibly) offering a refund or credit. This was not a problem with any previous owners. POWDR’s new policy (and your concurrence) seems shortsighted, very customer unfriendly and even mean spirited.
Hmmm, maybe I don’t get it.

I cancelled a season pass last month. Powdr charged 10%.
I was going to buy season ticket insurance- around $50 - in case my knees got too bad. But I had already seen the doc about knees and they would refuse a claim in that case.
A refund in case you get hurt from the mountain? HA
Maybe a voucher for hot cocoa.

i think we can both disagree and the world will still rotate but if it were me and i got pregnant and felt i shouldnt ski, i would consider it a donation to the mountain. if i were trying to get pregnant, depending on timing, maybe i wouldnt buy a pass, but rather day tickets. I suppose because clothes she bought and doesnt fit into anymore means she she should be able to return them to the store too. I just dont get the logic. If i hurt myself and couldnt ski anymore, i wouldnt run up to the ticket window for a refund. That was my fault, not the mountains. whatever--i done!Coydog wrote:Wow – you really don’t get it.woodlandclown wrote: i am a woman, but we are missing the point. if you are that gung ho on getting pregnant and trying, then dont buy a pass. for me, missing a season isnt an option. but then, having children isnt a high priority right now either. i dont think you should be refunded for a season pass for pregnany, injury, you have to move suddenly, anything..period.

Yep, just about every store on this planet offers a refund or store credit for items returned in unused condition. Standard practice.woodlandclown wrote:
