I dont think any guns can go... There is an inversion set up, its warmer in the mountains then the valleys. I saw this in the noaa forecast earlier today, and just drove up to check it out, although the forecast now no longer mentions it and dropped temps 7* from 35* earlier. Its 31-32* in Bridgewater from the Village all the way until the bottom of Skyeship. As I went up East Mountain Road it got warmer and warmer... 31* in Bridgewater/Lower Killington, and it was 38-39* at Snowshed and K1. :x I just got back from my fourth drive up there today!!! I am totally
about the snowmaking and cant get enough of it! The biulding next to the admin biulding at K base was silent tonight as well, and before it was noisy.

Fair enough (although, I think your competitors will be finding ways to make snow tonight), but thanks for the answer.spinmaster wrote:No snowmaking tonight. Guns went off around noon today. Looks like Thursday afternoon/evening through the coming weekend favorable temperatures and snowmaking returns.

Which forecasts have you guys been using to decide if/when to make snow? I know last winter you talked about the fact the mountain gets a forecast everyday that you guys pay for, but often times weather.com, the nws, or accuweather was actually better... Which one(s) have you guys been using?spinmaster wrote:No snowmaking tonight. Guns went off around noon today. Theres plenty of skiing to be had at K as well!!! There was still snow up there today, and I imagine most of it still going to be there till the weekend. It was 49* at k1 at around 12:30ish today, probably low 40's up there. There is Snow in the forecast for this Thursday, this Sunday, and next Wedneday, and next Thursday...Dr. NO wrote:So, the big blast of Sunday night was futile? did any of it last? Will it survive teh coming monsoon?
And they actually skied at Mt. Snow, go figure. :(
Not sure what r*in your talking about!

"THURSDAY...SUMMITS OBSCURED IN CLOUDS. A CHANCE OF r*in OR SNOW SHOWERS
IN THE MORNING...THEN A CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON. EARLY
HIGHS IN THE LOWER 40S...THEN TEMPERATURES FALLING INTO THE UPPER 20S
IN THE AFTERNOON. WEST WINDS 35 TO 45 MPH."
