Can vouch for Evogear on Ebay. Bought a new pair of 2007 Rossis and separately some Axium bindings. Cost me $15 to have them mounted. Total cost was half of what the same setup was going for in ski shops as a big discount. They took longer to get here than they originally predicted, but everything came as ordered with no hassle.

Bought all kinds of equipment online. No problems so far. Ebay is the best, but like Vinny says, check the feedback. Make sure they have a good amount of feedback and not less than 10. I usually look for the Power Sellers. Also, I don't buy anything unless they accept PayPal and I always wait till the last minute to bid so the last high bidder doesn't get notified in time to come back and outbid you!

Not all the auctions on Evogear are the best value. Bought a pair of Line's for my wife and a pair of Rossi B1's last season. Free shipping and it was fast. They are a reputable dealer but not always the least expensive.

I have bought and sold many pairs of skis on ebay. So far so good! Spring/summer is the best time for all equipment purchases.

speaking of eBay, does anyone know any other way to get a Wii besides eBay? I'm seeing buy-it-now prices for the new basic package going for about $330 plus $35 shipping. Any other ideas?

I’ve bought lots of gear from www.backcountry.com www.backcountryoutlet.com and SAC. They have competitive prices, great customer service, and a favorable return policy.

For my buddy's birthday I just bought '07 Dynastar Troublemakers from Al's Ski Barn last Friday.
The package arrived yesterday, and they've sent me the less expensive Nothing-But-Trouble.
I called them this morning. They're sending me the Troublemakers and a return shipping slip.

2 years ago I bought my Elan MO2's from Al's and had no problem at all.

Anybody who has it cheaper is sold out, i.e. Best Buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 6203165702.

Walmart has some.

YES, and YES. I have purchased several pairs on line or had them delivered via winnings, and the experience is just fine. Usually packed to protect them even when the box is beat to crap. If you can inspect before the delivery guys goes away, good call, but I need to have mine simply drop shipped, and have had no problem. Even Fed Exed our skis to Steamboat one year to avoid carrying them.

If you ski Killington check local shops web sites or store prices. I have spent the last hour checking Al's, Back Country, Untracked and a host of others. I did not find a cheaper price than we offer. I would expect that to be true for this years and last years equipment at most Killington shops. The only exception seems to be a product the manufacturer could not get rid of and sold old stock really cheap to a dealer , a close-out product – if I did not buy it the first time I will not buy for price only. The advantage of buying where you ski is warranty service, no mounting charges and lastly to keep Killington shops healthy - that will keep them competitive.

That seems to be the trend of late

the Brick and Mortar shops are pretty similar to what you pay online without any special offer

I definitely try to support my local shop unless its something that they don't stock
