how old is the PICO trail report?? This mornings report off the site still shows alot of trails with snowmaking...thought they were done..the snow tallies are correct (10+") so they are updating....is the trail report accurate? Thinking about hitting Pico on Sunday if they open a bunch more terrain

Its been all fine on the K site, and is fine right now on Pico site... I think you are looking at the Snowflake that shows if the trail has snowmaking capabilities, if snowmaking was happening, the trail would have a half green circle/half snowflake... It explains the symbols between the lift report and trail report...

All but 2 trails are now open!! More snows on the way!!

even tho the lifts aren't turning, the trails are open. keeps good stuff from getting tracked out. today there were still little pow stashes at 3:30. yummy!

pico gets tracked out so quickly because of the limited terrain and its so low angle that its hard to even get going on powder

I remember one day last year when we were over there with other zoners and we had no trouble skiing through the great powder that was over there.

You walk up bushwaker to get to A or B slope today? That looked sweet.

Like most ski areas you have to know where to go. Believe me, Pico stays fresh for days...

Powder Storm + Lack of Crowds + Closed on Tues and Wed = Fresh Powder for Days 8)

Got there late today because of stupid work. Hit over at the OPD which are my favorites. Ran out of time to hit Little Pico stuff, and yes, there were only two track down it when I left at 4. Everything was still good -it was just what I needed to adjust my crappy attitude towards crappy coworkers!
