Not this year, but there has been discussion about having it on Superstar. In discussion, new three tiered deck for K1 Lodge. With the removal of Water World open up the bottom of Superstar, have the premier competitions on new slope designed for each event. If approved would become part of the 50th Celebration next year. Approvals if they come will be before end of season.

Also new rules for this year BMMC, not going to be well received. Two years ago no Kegs allowed this year no outside alcohol or BBQ's, did deep $6 drafts and $9 hamburgers. Also $10 parking, no free b's for season pass holders.

Actually, that might be an entertaining idea...make some flags/signs with Powdr, or whatever else you can think of on them, and burn them.

That might get the message across. (although it might get you arrested).

Word coming out of the admin building is that this is being forced upon them by the State Department of Liquor Control or some such body and will be enforced by State Police and Liquor Control staff. That would be believable, to a point, except as we all know Killington last year first said it would not allow alcohol beyond the Bear deck and changed their minds after some period of time. So, do we believe them this year that this is being forced upon them or is it something of their own doing. If credibility and trust had not been squandered away this past year, people might accept the explanation. Now? In the words of Fox News....We report, you decide.

Just heard a rumor that the Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge has been moved to Conclusion - Snowdon Mountain Mogul Challenge.

Rediculous. This is just another money saving idea. They were going to keep Snowdon open till the end of the year anyway, but now they can close Bear a few weeks earlier. Nyberg shaking his fat at us and laughing all the way to the bank. Anybody know if his compensation is directly tied to making/exceeding his budget? SP Land is a private company (right?), so i doubt this information is publically available.

I actually expect this sort of stuff from normal companies, I don't know why I am surprised when a Mountain does it.... They just never used to...

Why are you accepting this alleged rumor at face value? Anyone can make up anything and post it as a "rumor" and people here just fall for it hook, line and sinker.

Very good point. I don't see how they are going to charge 10 bucks for admission. What happens if I just want to ride Bear Mountain that day and the competition just happens to be there. Do I have to drop another 10 bucks (after the cost of the season pass) just to ride Bear that day? I can't wait to see this one enforced. The beer police I can somewhat understand (don't like, but somewhat understand), but no BBQ's???

Very good point. I don't see how they are going to charge 10 bucks for admission. What happens if I just want to ride Bear Mountain that day and the competition just happens to be there. Do I have to drop another 10 bucks (after the cost of the season pass) just to ride Bear that day? I can't wait to see this one enforced. The beer police I can somewhat understand (don't like, but somewhat understand), but no BBQ's???
