Freakin Perv. He deserves some jail time, but I'm betting he won't get any...

Here is an associated press clipping I have found.

http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/s ... 4041.shtml

I don't know what the exact charge he pleaded guilty too and I am sure there was some kind of arrangement and the Prosecutor will have some sort of request for sentance. If he does see the likes of jail it will be a short stint. with possible house arrest and ankle monitoring. I am sure the will be a hefty fine since he does make a good salary, and very strict probation.

Torrey's sentencing has been rescheduled for April 23rd at 3pm. At that time he will be sentenced to 28 months in Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), which are low and medium security facilities.

True, however the poster may be stating the obvious. What's the minimum sentence in this case?

what is the exact charge? 18 u.s.c ???
this is 18 U.S.C. § 2252A

(2) knowingly receives or distributes—
(A) any child pornography that has been mailed, or shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce by any means, including by computer; or

(B) any material that contains child pornography that has been mailed, or shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce by any means, including by computer;

(b)
(1) Whoever violates, or attempts or conspires to violate, paragraph (1), (2), (3), (4), or (6) of subsection (a) shall be fined under this title and imprisoned not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, but, if such person has a prior conviction under this chapter, chapter 71, chapter 109A, or chapter 117, or under section 920 of title 10 (article 120 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice), or under the laws of any State relating to aggravated sexual abuse, sexual abuse, or abusive sexual conduct involving a minor or ward, or the production, possession, receipt, mailing, sale, distribution, shipment, or transportation of child pornography, such person shall be fined under this title and imprisoned for not less than 15 years nor more than 40 years.

i am guessing he plead guilty to a lesser crime if all he will get is 28 months.

I'm wondering if the same people that led the vicious boycot of the basin will be out in front of the courthouse leading the chants of the protest.

The vicious boycott has been incredibly "successful" as the shop has, from what I have been told, had a record or close to record season.

I'm just glad that everyone that was so passionate way back when did not squander their opportunity to just flex their internet muscles and actually show up and make a difference to their cause like they said that they would.
