I am not certified to release that information at this time...

How would I know??

... I hope so, and they said they were going to as of last summer, but i guess we will have to wait and see what they say the next month or two...

The summer stuff starts up on June 28th, so if its going to happen, it should be announced prior to that, although it may not be ready by then . . . .

Did it say they were going to be building the John Cowan designed Jump Farm and Skills Park, featuring numerous gap and box jumps, wall rides, skinnies, teeter totters and jump-on, jump-off boxes.

Or did they just say Killington was a Groove Approved Bike Park? Cus they have been that for years, just by having bike trails and a gondola to use them...

it was an ad 4 kona bikes, and at the bottom of the page they listed ski areas that will be participating.
i guess if you have kona bikes you make the list.

What's the difference, passholders or public? The means for which they relayed the info is inconsequencial. The point is, they have said what's going on and it wasn't vague.

Mount Snow has nothing on their site that I can find about any improvements. Not a word. I had heard more fanguns, from somewhere and thats it. . . . Looking up your quotes, i find the pass holder meeting report, and I guess thats where I read, more fanguns....

They didn't start being referred to as 'Groove Approved' until last season...

I think K said it was because of insurance reason's why they couldn't get the park ready last season?

I wish they would run the K1 for Memorial Weekend. Used to open Memorial weekend. They can at least run the lift for a couple days. Do some biking, hiking and even skiing/riding on what's left of the snow...

You quoted someones personal notes on what was said, so I am assuming they didn't even send out this info in a email to their passholders. And with that said, a hundred people in a room, isn't telling all that many.... Would you even know what your home mountain was specifically doing, had you not read that persons notes on the meeting? Or would you just end up listening to other hearsay around, on what would be happening?

My point is, they havent announced anything for the general public to have a clue as to what they are doing.

I have a bike map from Summer 2006, with the Kona Groove Approved logo stuff on it. They didn't go big with it till last season with all the new Kona bikes they bought, and the Jump Farm having suppost to happen, but they had the insurance problems, with the transfer of ownership from asc, and by the time they figured it out, John Cowan was already booked through the summer w/ other stuff.

They did!!!

Did you purchase a pass to Killington? Did you read what you were buying, or did you go up to the pass office and say, "Hey! What passes you got?" "Widweek, Blackout, and Full" "eh, I'll take..."

No, you didn't do option 2. You read, and understood, that the season was over in MID APRIL.

April 20 is as late as Mid April comes!

Skiingsnow you are a dope. I did read the letter on opening and closing dates. If K was really interested in the town of K and it's customer base they would be staying open to encourage people to come and spend their $$. Spring skiing is the best time of year.

Go get a life and stop posting your BS. You are only 19 years old, so you have a lot to learn about life before you are an expert.
K should hire you for PR since you are always for them 100% of the time.

So pal when you stop learning your life is over.

Earliest closing date since the 1958-1959 season.

Great opinion, glad to hear it. I truly wish Killington would stay open through May 1.

But, you bought a season to Mid April, and thats what you are getting.

Most of their customer base does not care about skiing in Late April and later. You are asking the resort to say, F*CK YOU to 95% of the people that gave Killington their hard earned money to ski, and with the promise to put the profits into Killington and Pico, and to say yes to 5% of the people, to now lose some of that money, to provide a very small segment of people something that wasn't for sale.
