Plus, not only are they quiet, but they have a heck of a conversion rate of water to snow, much higher than from an air/water gun.

Killington said $3.3 M in Capital and $2 M At the Grand, by the Grand people.
And in addition to the above there was around $2 M in Maintenence, which was not brought up in any of the press releases, that came out here on Kzone from I believe Tom.

Killington didn't claim a dollar of its maintenance as capital. Not one.
The only reason we know about it is because of this site.
Killington communicated long ago the biggest part of its summer plan, on its site, in the drift, and in the local news papers.
Nothing on Mount Snows website yet on their plans for the summer, nothing I can find anyway. . .

That's a load of crap. Last year, they even claimed routine maintenance to the Grand Summit as part of their great spending on "improvements". That's complete sh*t since the quartershare owners fund that complex and pay Killington, the owner of the common areas, a huge pile of money for the use every year. Routine repairs like fixing the snowmaking system are essential to keeping the resort going and were the correct place to spend money last summer after the ASC malaise years where they did nothing to the mountain. Some plain speaking last year would have been better than the transparent B.S. spin they put on it.
As I've been saying... other than the early closing which, in my mind, is unforgivable, I'm pretty happy with how they ran things this year. There were a few times their austerity budget was a little annoying with slow de-icing and lifts closed when they should have been open but the place was just fine on midwinter weekends. Their communication is horrible. They acted like a bull in a china shop for the last year. Their marketing, the feeble amount they did, was awful. If Chris Nyberg can't communicate with the public, they need to hire somebody who can.

Please do. I'll bet a lot of the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut crew would appreciate the shorter drive home from Mt Snow. For me, Mt Snow is brutal since there are no east-west roads. I've tried going to Keene and taking 101 all the way to the coast. That's really slow. The next time, I'd probably try Route 2 to I-495 even though it's more miles.
If the whole gang decides on Mt Snow, I might do it to join the party.

Enough said, they just simply want their core customers to know the exact details before everyone else. Most of this was already told to passholders too at their passholders meeting back in mid-March. They just finalized the details.
I'm sure I'll also be able to thank multiple members of Mount Snow's administration for this when I'm skiing this weekend as they're readily visible around the base area just about every single day.
