No, I'm not asking you for a job - but if you want to hire me as a paralegal - that would be nice.

Seriously -- networking like crazy and have a question or two.
Thanks!

Is your industry laying people off? the only lawyers ive heard about having layoffs are ones that worked on hedge fund accounts....this nightmare is just beginning!!!!Skibumtress wrote:PM me if you are. Question for those who be. Thanks.
Thanks! Yea it is money - more than unemployment I'm sure.kvtskibum wrote:Sorry to hear you got laid off, search Craigs list there are a bunch of lawyers that advertise on there and they might be looking for help. It will probably be per diem but hey its money.

Btw, you aren't alone, I got laid off from AIG on Tuesday morning after almost 16 years. I'll be spending most of the winter up north
I have a spare bedroom,Skibumtress wrote: I've had thoughts of working at K for the winter..... but then again, where would I live? Hey I can live in my Jeep, however my dog will not like that.
You might make more on unemployment than working for Killington! To bad you did not get a pass this season, saw 2 for sale in the mountain times today. Now is the chance to become a ski bum!Skibumtress wrote:SkiPutt wrote:You got laid off already? Didn't you just start that job?

It was a temp-to-perm job. The paralegal who was on LOA came back and at the beginning she was going to quit -- can't blame her for coming back. I too was at my previous employer for 17 years and then quit to work closer to home -- yet another huge layoff. Two layoffs in two years.![]()
Sorry about your situation too.
