I say remove the hand in its entirety and get a hook. That'd be cool! Arrrh!

Sorry to hear the news Tricks! But in the big scheme of things a workable thumb for decades to come has some advantages too!
Worst comes to worse, if the hill urge hits you too much, get yourself one of these!

Might be a bit chilly on a cold day, but I bet it would protect the thumb pretty well!

Bummer,
Maybe the Zee family will blow it out again, and you will have someone to hang with.

2 years in a row just isn't fair. My ideas are to ski anyway with one ski pole. Protect the bad hand from any thumb impact using some creative bandage/shell/cast. Dial back the skiing some, stay out of the woods, which while tame, is still skiing. I've done it while nursing a bad shoulder.

sling that thing up... and get a snowboard.
professor moose rode most of last season with a busted elbow like that. we would zip his slinged arm into his jacket.

had the surgery yesterday morning, OUCH. woke up from the operation with a big fiberglass cast on my right hand/arm... was expecting it to be removable but I guess not. hydrcodone has me feeling a bit loopy but it's to be expected... still a good amount of pain, but it could be worse.
