Email I received from Nyberg regarding BMMC

He comes off as a typical entitled, elitist prick with no respect for anything but his bank account. Closing on Saturday to avoid a new pay period is so ridiculous I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

For Killington, which was THE preeminent resort in the east, they should have gotten a rising star from Vail, Deer Valley, Aspen, some place like that. No offense, but Willamette don't cut it. Even Bachelor is (was) just a local's mountain (with a totally sick amount of snowfall).

I think this action ranks up there with that of BANNED on the Sugarloaf thread. Where are the Maggots when you need them? Unleash the powers of the internet on the man with the fast hands and e-mail, C. Nyberg.

In my opinion, this is worse. Assuming this isn't a hoax, it's reprehensible to try to get a customer who has a complaint fired from their job.

I still think back to the internet savvy of somebody who knew how to get a domain name from a company in the Cayman Islands and point KillingtonDealGrabber.com at the Okemo site. Someone with that level of sophistication could do a pretty good job of pulling off a credible hoax.

From what I've heard from my buddies who own a house in Bend ... he (and Powdr) helped drive Bachelor into the ground. It's a great mountain ... about two hours further from Portland then Hood Meadows, but well worth the drive!

After looking into this matter it appears form all information that it a legit e-mail form Chris Nyberg. My apologies to BumpMeister. After our discussion and exchange of information he understands why KZone had to be sure it was legit......so I am unlocking this thread and unleashing the hounds from hell on Mr. Nyberg.

I am a little shocked that Mr Nyberg would take this path in dealing with what was a legitimate customer complaint/concern, I don't understand what he hoped to accomplish by contacting the person's employer, I'm completely baffled.

First of all thanks to Shorski for giving me the opportunity to prove that this was a legit email sent from Nyberg. I know there are still a few skeptics out there but not much I can do about that. To set the record straight I am a new member to this board and am not hiding under an alias (I have been accused by some posters of being someone referred to as Stormy). I have been a Killington regular for over 25 years and am very saddened with the way Nyberg has completely taken away the heart and soul of what was once the Beast of the East(It really does break my heart). The harsh (but in no way a "Hate") email was sent directly to Nyberg to generate a response and have him contact me and not try to be a weasel and attempt to report some sort of abuse to a supervisor in my company. The email I sent did have a live link to my company website so I guess he got so annoyed that he decided to look up and respond to an individual in authority. The actions this man took to my email speaks volume about his character (or lack of). I will email him again from my prersonal email account tonight and let it be clear what a totally classless individual he proved himself to be. He must have been the kind of kid growing up who if you hit him too hard in a game of touch football he would go run to your Mommy and get you in trouble.

If you look at his resume, he was at Bombardier in 2001, The Summit at Snoqualmie for 2 years before that, and "several years" running Willamette Pass. That backs things up to 1997 or earlier. The City of Bend owned Mount Bachelor back then.

I'll confirm this one. MANY people in the PNW loved Bachelor until recently. They all claim that the soul was sucked out of it in the past couple years.....

When I told a few that I was from K and that POWDR recently took them over, I see the roll of the eyes and then a few curses are thrown out.
