wait til he's 21 and he's hanging with you and SS at LTB as his hometown local bar like the rest of them bridgewater folk do. Think of all the stimulating conversations you three will have...
Stimulating conversations? There would be two of us listening to Shortski go on about his topic du jour instead of just one. All I can ever do is snipe one-liners whenever he pauses to take a gulp of his beer.
i can picture them as corvette dominated or dirty old man gripped. Believe me, not that there's anything wrong with either one
You forgot "guns", "Obama and liberals", "Killington", "beer", "taxes", "busting Geoff's chops about speeding tickets", ...

It's really very entertaining. The "Shortski Channel" at the Long Trail is way better than anything I get from Comcast. It sucks that it's pay-per-view but a pint is only $4.50.

You must obtain a minimum of 3 tickets per calendar year with fines in excess of $150 per ticket in order to get on the list for the Christmas Cards.

Sure is, suppost to be, but that damn tommyboy has it all messed up on the site. So many errors you think it's selling tickets to some show in Bridgewater.

alright spill it. hopefully they're gonna do the right thing regarding needles. even better would be bear ...
Maybe they should "do the right thing" and close mon-thu and then perhaps close April 12? Or just close April 12? This is what other large ski areas in Vermont are doing and they are "the good guys". The guys who "get it". . . .

Sorry, but I didn't mean they are going to open mountain areas they have already closed. I meant there are more trails on the mountain areas already open that will be reopened 'soon', with several having aready reopened today.

For tomorrow Killington has another trail listed as open.
SS, these "good guys" that you speak of, because of how they handle themselves to their customers don't have their core crew pissed off at them. And to boot, they threw one awesome 1st ever winter brewers fest last weekend for their customers and it was so successfull that before it even ended, next years edition was already penciled into the calender. Imagine that, you host a FUN, laid back, spring event that ENCOURAGES the enjoyment of BEER and customers have a GREAT time! Whoever would have thought that would happen

I guess they are some of the guys(and gals) that "get it"
DrJ's got it nailed. If Killington really wanted to throw a spring party, and limit byob, all they would have to do is offer $1 drafts or charge what the break-even point is on a keg. Simple.

Do you see a problem with $6.25 drafts? Or am I missing somethting? Thought so. No wonder they are off- drinks are too expensive and the food is still garbage.

Castlerock Pub- $4.50 across the tap line with some great local offferings. Killington locked into some type of contract with A-B that doesn't allow them any flexibility in their offerings.

$6.25 is a steal when compared to the $8 or so at a Yankees game :bang

K, being in the hospitality business, should know better to lock themselves into a deal that does not offer them the flexibility to discount drinks or food at their signature event.

Let's see, last weekend at Mount Snow at the exact same time that the afternoon events at BMMC were going on, I was drinking $2 beers from such breweries as Long Trail, Magic Hat, Allagash, Rockart, Brooklyn Brewery, A-B, and a few others that I can't recall off the top of my head right now. Granted the beers were supposed to be 8oz, but, if you were cool with the Mount Snow staff/Brewery staff that was pouring, your $2 token would often get you a pour that stopped well above the "fill to here" line that was on the souvenir pint glass you got with your admission. Frankly, since the Brewers Fest at Mount Snow was held both inside in Cuzzins and later overflowed into the main cafeteria and also outside on Cuzzins deck, if K really wanted to bring some swagger back to BMMC, heck, why not hold the BMMC Brewer's Fest starting at say noon on BMMC Saturday

Heck, the deck @ Bear is plenty big enough to have a roped off "controlled" event with a bunch of breweries there. Make the beers very reasonably priced like Mount Snow did(and also has the same pricing for their summer Brewer's Fest). Throw in a good band starting around 2ish as the Saturday qualifying is winding down, I've got a hunch that something like that just might work. Lastly, if folks can't tailgate on the snow out infront of Bear Lodge, well then let them do it in the parking lot @ Bear. VT DLC can rome the lot as they so choose, K can host a very customer friendly event that brings some of the spirit of BMMC back, and by spirit, I mean that BMMC isn't just about the bumpers, but its about what tends to be the core K customer getting out with other core K customers and enjoying some fun as the season traditionally transisitions from wide open winter operations into condensing spring mode.

Nahh, that could never work

You need to make the adjustment in your profile (Board Preferences) every time the daylight savings time changes.

Thanks Ty, I always thought Atlantic standard time was more fitting for eastern NH. Nice meeting you and snowprincess yesterday. Don't see many of the "weekenders" since I have a midweek pass. Saw the Suburban in Bay1, left at 3;45 and everybody was still out. I caught the first K 1 car so it was along day.
