K1 Cam Question

Post by trainlazz »

Does anyone know why we now can't point the K1 cam towards the canyon area anymore. I was just curious to see if there's any snow left. I remember that we used to be able to do this and some time this season it stopped.

I don't remember ever seeing the Canyon area beyond Flume but I may be wrong. It might be the placement of the camera that is preventing it from seeing the Canyon.

wouldn't be surprised if this was intentional on their part. didn't want us to see how bad conditions were or how few people were there.

Dunno. You'd think an uncrowded ski area would be a competitive advantage. ...and you can't get much of a sense of conditions from a web cam. I think this is just another instance of Killington's mediocre marketing and internet presence. I believe upper management doesn't think it's important. If you don't have competent and motivated employees dealing with that stuff, you get typos, spelling errors, and grammar errors on your web site and press releases. You get web cams that don't work. You get a season pass purchase web interface that tells you you can't use it to buy a pass using the payment plan.

The Peak Cam was moved to the golf course, as they did last season.
