There's not one ski resort website on the planet that doesn't have many spelling errors.
Like Geoff says, the things that matter are operating lifts, blowing snow, and grooming.
Actually, there's not one website on the planet that doesn't have many spelling errors!
Dictionary.com?

The crew does there best to promote Killington in the most positive image possible. Unfortunately when your writing hundreds of pages of content, an occasional error may be posted. I'm not sure the materiality of a few tiny spelling errors in a brand new website. Give them a break!

Sorry Templars, but you made the classic error of not knowing the right "you're, your" and "their, there, they're" to use.

I believe he is pointing out the MISTAKES on Killington's sight, not correcting them, as in THERE vs. Their and YOUR vs. You're (you are). I notice with they hyphen you don't tend to make that mistake because you would say You Are, just an observance.

Here is another mistaken or, at least, misleading statement I discovered on the website today. From today's condition report:
"Save $10-$20 and enjoy direct-to-lift access every time you visit this winter with a Killington Express Card - on sale NOW, or purchase at any open ticket window or the Snowshed Sales Center!" (emphasis added)

According to the man that answered the Beast's phone this morning, the Express Card will not provide a discount this weekend.

It's not winter yet... Winter doesn't start until December 21st. (Probably not their logic... except when it's convenient)

Thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you have the additional time to not only spell & grammar check Killington's website, but KillingtonZone.com as well. Now if only you had the opportunity to cash in on that skill. Please continue to check each of my future post's to ensure it's up to your standards.

Appreciate it!

I honestly don't expect them to be perfect and can live with a few small errors here and there but when the errors are so plentiful and VERY visible, there is a problem. Taking 30 extra seconds and proof-reading would've caught the vast majority of errors. It's just like the "gonola" stickers in the gondola cabins. Simple proofreading would've caught that.

Would you turn in a cover letter or resume with spelling errors and typos all over? Unlikely. That resume and cover letter is one of the first impressions you will be able to make. A website is much like a resume or a cover letter. In my eyes, publishing something professional with blatant spelling errors is indicative of the person/organization. It shows a lack of care and professionalism.

Will do.

By the way, it's "posts", not "post's". (That one's on me.)

Speaking of spelling errors, just watched ESPN Mike and Mike show and they were talking about the Cowboys Roy Williams and at the bottom of the screen in big white letters it said COWOYS

It's obvious that Tom (or someone else) reads what's here and fixes the errors that are pointed out. This thread won't last long, and it is genuinely helping Killington improve. There is of course the temptation to point out some non existent error in a vague enough manner that he goes crazy trying to find it. Like the place where he misspelled "Sky" Peak. Spell check won't find that...

Contact page is there now (has been for a few days), but I'm not convinced the season pass office info is right:

Currently, it says:
Season Pass Office
Call: 802-422-6868
Office Hours In season:
Monday - Friday,non-holiday 9.00 AM - 3.00 PM
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays, 9.00 AM - 3.00 PM
the direct line to the pass office is 802-422-6886, and since both lines listing opening hours are the same, I suspect that one of them is incorrect. If I was a gambling man, I would think that the pass office will open before 9 on weekends.

The website this year is absolutely terrible - and last year was bad.
