A note from Steve

Post by mulch-in-my-taco »

Hi everyone,

This is steve, posting under an old alias. (I no longer have the password for the "steve" account.)

Some of you will be surprised to see that I have the balls to show my face here after what happened three years ago. Believe me, nobody is as surprised as me, given the anger that I had back then. However, as we grow older, we become aware of our mistakes and become regretful of stuff we did and said in the past.

Most of the time, there's nothing we can do about it. In this case, there is one little thing that I can do with you - express my regret and apologize.

I probably offended many people that day. If you're one of those people, I am truly sorry.

Particularly - To MrsG - I apologize for the outburst I had in 2007. I don't expect you to forgive me, but I want you to know that I regret saying it.

Also - To Andy - I want to reiterate the apology I made to you back in 2007 regarding what I said about you and your brother. Again, I don't expect you to forgive me, but I want you to know that I regret what I said.

For the record, I am not asking for anything. In particular, I'm not asking to be accepted back into this community. After this post I will return to seclusion and go on living my life.

I hope you all are having a wonderful summer and that the snow this winter flies early, late, and extremely heavy in between.

Hey Steve - very nice gesture, and I personally commend you. It takes (to use an old wornout cliche) a big man to admit his mistakes. Congrats. Keep posting.

Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

I meant to. Hit the wrong user name by accident. Won't happen again.
