South Ridge Area now called "K1 Express Gondola Area"

Very odd. I know they got rid of the lift, but that's no reason to change the name of the area. And if you are going to change the name change it to something cooler, not to "K1 Express Gondola trails". And what's worse is that the trails are not really related to the K1 area, other than the fact that you get to them via the K1, but you can also get to Snowdon, North Ridge, Skye Peak, Bear if you take the K1, that doesn't make all areas the "k1 Express Gondola area".

I hope that's a typo. Otherwise, it makes little sense, and now the renaming of the Glades area to "North Ridge" to complement the "South Ridge" seems rather stupid.

Kind of like having Skyeburst Upper, and others listed under Bear, when they should be listed under Skye Peak, since that is the only way you can access them... not from Bear.

Use your head, they are planning to replace the SRT with a K1 Express Gondola.

I never liked the name GREAT BEAR at Snowdon....Shouldn't Great Bear be at Bear ...

Most direct access to these trails is via the K1....so I can understand why....for now. Future lift...new name

unless this a prelude to NOT replacing the srt, by making it seem like like it's part of the k1 area (though for the time being that's how those trails will mostly be accessed). are they gonna change the name back when they put the lift in. yeah south ridge, north ridge made sense. i smell a rat ... maybe jayne mansfield was right ...

Gotta disagree about North Ridge / Glades. If there aren't glades there anymore then it needs a better name. North Ridge / South Ridge both sound good to me. And North Ridge sounds like a great place to get some early season skiing. IMHO.
