So do you want Pico to be connected to Killinton via lift and trail?

Yes, I'm too lazy to get in my car and drive 15 minutes to Pico

No, All the stashes would get tracked out just as fast as Killington and ruin Pico as we know it

well, since you put it that way..

actually, i am persuaded by the arguments made elswhere in this message board that pico is better off without the interconnect.

killington is big enough..

besides ruining the place, i'd rather make the decision to drive there than have to ski to ramshead and take 2 lifts to get there and then come back again. however i think it's inevitable that eventually it'll get done. having bought the place, asc has to interconnect it otherwise it didn't make sense to buy it in the first place since they're treating it like a stepchild right now.

The questions in this poll - no matter how you answer them - are just a little biased aren't they?

Don't forget about the bears. The reason the interconnect hasn't happened yet is because of the bear habitat in between the 2 areas. Conservancy is on the rise when it comes to alpine wilderness management. I'd be highly the interconnect would ever happen since there is already enough development stressing the area as it is.

I like going there to get away from all of the obnoxious idiots that hang out on the Gondola lines at K and all of the matching technical outfits and limited sking ability that they do have. Pico is much more of a skier/family hill. Jersey Joes and Long Island Larrys are much less likely to go there.

for the love of all things holy, please NO interconnect! I would go so far as to send money to environmentalist groups fighting it.

you could not be any further off base. the reason the interconnect has not been built is because ASC is hanging on by a thread and can't afford it. They have (or at least had) all the permits in place to do it but were too busy defaulting on their loans to pull the trigger. Parkers Gore was never developed because of Bear hapitat and has nothing to do with land between K and Pico.

The expansion will turn a good resort into one of the biggest.

I don't know about you but I'd like to save the extra drive time and distance over the pass and up the access road. Especially in bad weather! The other thing I've noticed in my travels is that the "ends" of a big ski area rarely get as much traffic as the main portion so Bear Mtn and the skiers left side of Pico would be that much more underutilized than what they are now.

You know withiout the cashflow from all the Jersey Joes and Long Island Larrys these ski resorts may have to close down.
