Where Are Your VT Digs?

Post by KingsFourMan »

do you own a place? if so, what kind of place and where? how long have you owned there?

do you rent a place? if so where?

do you usually stay at a hotel, lodge or Inn? if so where?

feel free to elaborate.

I rented an A frame house for a week near Mount Snow this year for a very inexpensive amount. At Killington we stayed at the INN OF THE SIX MOUNTAINS on the cheap. Good deal with AAA. It's nice to live 90 miles from the Big K though let me tell you.

Rented a ski house for the season off Rt. 100A in Plymouth (up behind Salt Ash Inn on Rt. 100 south of K). Takes about 7 minutes to get to Skyeship.

SkiDork and I have owned one of the Glazebrook Townhouses since October 1999. We utilize it as much as possible and rent it when we have other things to do. Of course this year I wish I had not allowed the management company to rent it all in March. We rent it out in the summer for a long-term rental as we enjoy boating at home at that time of the year.

We had one couple from Florida that rented the place 3 years in a row but then the man got sick and for all I know he might have died. Last year we got a new couple that had rented another unit before but wanted something in a more quiet part of the complex. They liked it because they put down a deposit for this summer when they were leaving in September. Yes, ours is a 3 bedroom. When we bought it we thought that all our back home friends would want to come up and ski. As it turns out very few of them want to make the trip up to VT. They think it is too far to drive. Obviously they are not as interested in skiing as the rest of us. Now I have skiing friends asking if they can stay over if they do not have any other accomodations. We are always happy to have them if we have the space. BTW I am told that the 3-bedroom units rent faster in the summer because they have a bedroom downstairs and the old geezers do not want to climb stairs to get to the bedroom.

Rented a cabin on Lake Sunapee<NH> from Dec. till April 1.
Its 8 minutes to the Mtn and 45 minutes to K. and 1/2 hr. to okemo.

I wanted something for the wife and 2 teenagers for the whole season so I rented this place because the price was right.
Next season I would like to get something at K to ski/party with you all!

I have a condo just outside of mount sneaux. Actually it just sold. As of april 18 I won't have a place in VT anymore.

We are going to look for a small house in the mount snow area next summer to buy.

When we go to killington we have rented at glazebrook for the past 6 years. It is a great place to stay for the week.
