A top to bottom cruise down Great Eastern. I know it's not the most exciting trail for many, but it's a great long cruise that's unique to Killington, and it's a great way to end the day if you park at skye ship. And if it's not crowded, which it usually isn't at the end of the day, you can really book down it. If you do it non-stop, it's a real thigh burner.

Its not exactly "Killington" as in POWDR or even skiing directly buts it is part of K. The K market has a winter butcher and she has done an awesome job with Rib Eyes and Strip steaks. The price per pound is as good as at home (price chopper, shaws) and its nice having the spontaneous grill option at the house after a big ski day.

+2.
My daughter and I always park at Skyeship base. Close walk from/to car. Never a crowd in the lodge. And that wonderful "Home Stretch".

The kids in the KSC programs call it the GED - Great Eastern Downhill. Freestylers, Racers, does not matter. It is one of the high points of their weekend.

I love the Stairway and the whole early season vibe at the North Ridge with the music and the beer and food. Everybody just seems to be so happy to be skiing so early that they don't care about the lift lines. They just enjoy every minute and soak it up. Awesome.

And the Umbrella Bars are really cool. Last week with the warm weather they were amazing Thursday and Friday. Definitely much better than the Barney room.

One other thing that I like about K are what I call "stealth snow" events. We get several a year. They happen when no one is predicting snow or are only predicting a dusting or an inch and we end up getting 5 or 6 inches. Gotta love mountain weather and the Killington cloud.

I call the Killington cloud "Kyle" :P

Geez guys, I'm getting teary eyed. I agree, way too neagtive. Powdr doesn't seem able to run events well other than the Dew Tour I'll give you that. Snowwise, what more could they do amidts the worst winter EVER? I think they did ok considering, just woulda liked more snowmaking in the canyon. Dipper and Downdraft were season long casualties. Here's what I love about BIG K.

It's BIG
Snowmaking
JULIO
Light>Dark>Escapade>Cascade(sounds like a Dead set)
Low Ri Duh
2 Gondies
Ana's Empanadas
Lower Ovation
The Fiddle
Superstar in spring
The Stash
22ft Pipe
Peanuts @ the Lookout
Goombays
Frosted Pint Glasses & Pizza @ Outback :Toast
Barrel Rider
Jamie
Pico
McGrath's Pub
The best share house scene anywhere
Great people

Killington, love it or leave it.

Until PowDr came along and improved Killington I used to take Killington for granted. I admit it. I took it for granted that it would always be the great place it was and first to open and last to close with plenty of superlatives. I thought it would always be the best in the East.

Now that it's been fully modernized I wonder how did SKI LTD and ASC ever do such a great job all those years without the wisdom of Park City to guide them? I now see it's much better to have a short season and no need to make as much snow and who needs those extra skiers anyway. Who needs that? Those old fashioned companies didn't know what they were doing and it's a good thing PowDr came along and improved everything and saved us all.

I heard the next improvement will be bidet's in the ladies and men's rooms and they're buying more snowmaking equipment they won't use.

Until PowDr i never thought anyone could make ASC look good and again I'm wrong.
