Mount Snow
After 12 consecutives trips to the Big K, Mount Snow is a nice change. 60 miles is nothing. It's a nice family place.
Mt Snow
I've been noticing that I'm been hearing more and more heavy metal music being played in ski resorts lately, and it's not just the mainstream.
Today at Mount Snow on Bear Trap the tune "The Dungeons Are Calling" from Savatage was played. When I started snowboarding in 1999, most of the music seemed to be R&B and RAP. I dig the change!

I think that all the heavy metal you were hearing today was the sound of metal screetching from all the lifts stopping every 10 seconds from everyone that should be on the bunny slope being all over the mtn!
MS had bigger lines today on lifts that almost never have lines than I've seen in my 20+ years of skiing there
I figure though that for alot of Bronze passers, this is it. With Easter obligations next weekend, and then it's April so the fair weather Bronze passers will be done

Mt Snow
Last Sunday (Mar 13) was a lot worse, for it was kids pay your age day. It got really bad around 11 -- the Summit Express closed down for a about a half hour and the Canyon stopped running for about 15 minutes, so I went to Ego Alley where the wait was about 10 minutes.
I've been going to Mount Snow every weekend this season and the lines yesterday (Mar 19) seemed to be pretty normal compared to last January and February. Typically, they're the most crowded around 10, shorten up around noon, grow a little longer around 12:30, and then dwindle down after that. On Sundays after 1pm the singles line at the Summit Express is almost a walk-on. Yesterday I got in the singles line at the Summit Express at 1:00 and got on the lift at 1:04. Not bad I should say.

Best time to ski Mt Snow is during their Reggae Fest which is in a few weeks always a good time. They have the annual sink or swim contest with pond skimming which is alot of fun. Mass Consumption of Red Stripes are usually in hand for that weekend.DrJeff wrote:I think that all the heavy metal you were hearing today was the sound of metal screetching from all the lifts stopping every 10 seconds from everyone that should be on the bunny slope being all over the mtn!
