Boston/Back Bay to Killington
I need information on how to get from Boston/Back Bay to Killington using some form of mass transit (train, bus etc.). Anyone know how this can be done, ever done it themselves? Cost estimate?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/info.

Try scheduled bus service from Boston to Rutland, if there is any, then taxi to K. Also, see what time flights leave Logan for Rutland and what the return schedule is.
Or, try getting someone here to volunteer to offer a ride to a wayward soul.

You could take the Ethan Allen Express (AMTRAK). You would have to go into PENN STATION in NYC and then connect to the EAE. About $122 round trip.

Vermont Transit is the way you get from Boston to Killington via public transportation. I just looked at their schedule and they've done away with their White River Junction to Rutland route. They run one bus per day from Boston/South Station to via Keene and Ludlow to Rutland. It goes out at 11:45 in the morning and doesn't get to Rutland until 4:35 pm. You can take THE BUS from there.

If you can get somebody to meet you in Lebanon or White River, there are a half-dozen trips per day.

Looking at the Vermont Transit schedule and route map, that's no longer possible. No bus lines go down Route 4.borgy wrote:One of those bus lines drops you off right in front of the Killington Deli/Market on Route 4 (post office) I picked up a buddy of mine from Boston there once. Then you don't have to worry about getting to K from rut vegas
Oh well, Guess they discontinued that route.Geoff wrote:Looking at the Vermont Transit schedule and route map, that's no longer possible.
