Haven't been here in awhile

I have not been on the site in awhile nor have I been to K lately. But I am really looking forward to returning in the next couple of weeks and staying in the new mountain side village and riding the interconnect between K and Pico. Other than those two improvements anything else change around here?

There are now 2 yellow missile silos located at the base of Superstar
Tours are conducted there every day. Libations are served.
Despite the efforts of Irene and Sandy, the terrain remains unchanged.
You may not be impressed with the new Peak Lodge configuration.

Good natural snow yr. plus Kton's new President has them blowing snow still and Superstar in June could happen this yr. the best run of the day for me today was Superstar in the guns. The first gun was wet and the next one a bit wet but nice snow all the way down so we did laps as the rest of the Mtn. Skied fast/firm. I thought today skied more like MLK day in Jan. then ST. Paddy's day ! Lunch consisted of a Rueben and fries w/ a couple Hibernators !

But Mayday is Thursday and the Mayday Race is the weekend before. Not exactly a May 1st Fun Slalom. Loss of a mid-week sales opportunity where some would show up just for the race, and buy tickets, shirts, food and BEER.

No Dis ? What fun is that. Skis are still long and skinny though, right ? Always a fun and interesting board, just got a little scary during the off season from time to time. Haven's skied on the East Coast in five years but might have to do some spring skiing at K so thought I would turn here to follow the reports on the conditions etc. Keep em coming, and good health to all on the board.
