STOWE, Vermont - Winter Rendezvous, the longest and largest running Gay Ski Week in the northeast, is now in its 29th year and ready to celebrate with five days of wintry bliss. The largest and longest-running gay and lesbian ski event on the East Coast (2013 will be the 29th year) attracts hundreds of LGBT skiers and boarders to Stowe each year.
The wintry adventure bacchanal offers a diverse lineup of activities, parties and entertainment, including five days of skiing and snowboarding on two different mountains, Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak, as well as cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding on the world-class trails of the Trapp Family Lodge, the official Nordic Center of Winter Rendezvous 2013.
Patrons can ski all day and party all night, with entertainment that includes après-ski, wine tastings, giant indoor pool party, "Sound of Music" sing-a-longs at the Von Trapp Family Lodge.
There’s also an on-mountain pizza party and a comedy showcase with Jim Lauletta and guests and a kick-off party. Live performances include shows by Dina Martina and the b-Side Charlie Band as well as a special appearance from Vermont’s own House of Lemay.
Winter Rendezvous’ two DJs are Harrison from Boston at the Back2basic disco dance party and the sounds of DJ Steve Marsden direct for the Crown& Anchor in Provincetown, MA playing the final blow out party.
This year’s Winter Rendezvous 2013 promises something for everyone, including skiers and non-skiers. This fun ski-filled event will take place Wednesday Jan 23 - Sunday January 27, 2013 at one of the most beautiful ski resorts in the country, Stowe Mountain Resort.
