iPod Users HELP with iPod Software!!!!!!!!
I'm trying to install my new iPod software. For Windows it says I need version 2000 and up. I have Windows Millenium. Tried to install it but it says I need SP4 (Service Pack 4). It won't allow me to install SP4.... says I don't have something or other. I have all of my Windows critical updates. Do I need any optional updates to upload SP4 (there are 44 optionals and would rather not upload all 44)??? Am I up sh*t's creek without a paddle??? Can I not use my iPod software with my Windows ME version. I got this computer in 2001 and I'm assuming that ME version is equivalent to Windows 2000.
Please someone help me.........

Done..... apparently I need to upgrade to Windows 2000. Didn't plan on this extra expense (dagnabit).

Anyone have any other suggestions to save me from paying an arm and a leg for another version of Windows??? Any help would be very appreciated.

What are the specs on your PC? If it's fast enough maybe we could put XP on it.

Windows ME bites. It's just a glorified Windows 95. You cannot have a logical drive that exceeds 2GB. You need a Windows XP disk?Skibumtress wrote:Pedro wrote:why don't you want to install the updates? If the updates are from the microsoft site you probably need them.
